Get to know The Solutions Team’s Landry Prestwood, Director of Projects
How did you find out about The Solutions Team?
I had the pleasure of meeting the Chief Technical Officer for The Solutions Team, Shane Fowler, through a mutual connection. Shane told me a little bit about himself and TST, and from there I went to LinkedIn to learn more about the company.
When did you join The Solutions Team?
I joined The Solutions Team on January 11, 2021.
What do you do at The Solutions Team?
I work with the senior management team to schedule and deliver Implementation services for new customers. I work with our existing customers to assist with new system implementations or changes that need to be made with their network / systems. I also manage the TST Project Team, making sure project standards and timelines are met to the very best of our ability.
What convinced you that The Solutions Team was a great place to work?
I realized TST was a great place to work the first week I was employed. Our leadership does things for employees that no other company I have worked for has done. From small things like sending emails to all employees welcoming you to the team to hosting new hire luncheons to let you know you are appreciated. It does not stop there, TST has ongoing events and activities to promote team building. This type of appreciation and dedication is not only shown to employees, but to our customers as well - and I believe it really sets us apart from others in our industry.
Describe a typical day on the job at The Solutions Team?
This is the part I love most about working for TST. There is not a typical day on the job for me. Our customers span across all professions and are located all over the US. Today I am in the office writing technical documentation for one of our customers, and tomorrow I could be implementing our services for a new customer located anywhere in the US. The only thing that stays typical for me is I am doing my very best to assist our customers with their technical needs.
What do you like most about working at The Solutions Team?
Getting an awesome Christmas Party weekend given by the company. Yay! Seriously, being part of a company that is about building relationships with the customer, listening to their business objectives and helps them leverage IT to meet those objectives.
Share with us some of your accomplishments, while at The Solutions Team.
I received the Employee of the Year award my first year with TST (2021) and was recognized at the TST Christmas party, which was a big honor and very much appreciated. Another big accomplishment is, I was promoted to Director of Projects at the first of the year (2023). I am very honored and blessed to be a part of the TST family.
