The Customer

Add An Extra Layer Of Cyber Security Protection By Utilizing Cyber InsuranceWith two locations serving Lafayette and the surrounding south Louisiana region, Acadian ENT & Facial Aesthetics (AENTFA) offers a wide range of services to help patients find relief from conditions like sleep apnea, tinnitus, allergy problems, balance disorders, and more. Their experienced otolaryngologists work in conjunction with AENTFA’s other specialists and staff to provide comprehensive care for disorders or diseases of the ear, nose, and throat.

The Challenge

AENTFA was founded more than 30 years ago, and for much of this time all IT needs were being managed in-house by Jeff Resweber, the practice’s Director of IT.

A former Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Jeff had trained the practice’s administrator and another colleague on basic troubleshooting to help solve common issues – and he had put best practices in place from the beginning to ensure best management of the network.

Over the years, however, AENTFA’s network grew from ‘a single file and print server with a couple of PC’s’ to one that now spans two clinic locations, 80+ PC’s, 50+ iPads, numerous printers, and two servers.

The expanded infrastructure had simply become too much for Jeff to manage alone – and he knew it was time to seek an outside technical resource to help with day-to-day IT duties.

The Solution

Founded in 2007 in Jackson, Miss., The Solutions Team (TST) is a national managed services provider of IT support serving clients in 40 states in the healthcare, dental, legal and construction fields.

Jeff had met TST some time ago at a Greenway / PrimeSuite conference and had engaged them to help with offsite backup and EMR Hosting.  After soliciting competitive quotes from several MSPs, he decided his previous work experience with TST and the firm’s proposed costs made them the best fit.

The transition went smoothly and took place in less than 30 days - aided by the best practices Jeff had put in place and TST’s onsite presence throughout.

Today, utilizing TST’s team of skilled engineers, AENTFA is now able to resolve multiple IT issues at once – in one or both clinics.  Additionally, TST’s ‘fixed rate’ service model enables the practice to forecast their IT expenses every month before they receive their invoices.

Best of all, working together with TST, Jeff still serves as AENTFA’s Director of IT, and is now free to utilize his expertise on more strategic IT and cybersecurity tasks for the practice.
